Membership on July 1, 2014 was 145.  This was a special year as the club celebrated its 25^th anniversary on October 2, 2014 with a party at the Dixon Garden and Gallery.  Charter members and former members were invited to help recognize the accomplishments of the club.  We continued our support of White Station Elementary with the outdoor classroom almost completed.  Junior Achievement, tutoring and Dictionary Project are among  many services our club provides to the school.  The Girls in Pearls Program under the leadership of several RCME ladies has grown to include a second school, Willow Oaks Elementary.  Teacher of the Year was Aline Christion.  The RCME Foundation fund drive raised $22,400 and four new Paul Harris Fellows were named.  The Dunavant Awards program was again held at the Holiday Inn at the University of Memphis with 500 in attendance.  William E. “Billy” Orgel, Shelby County School Board member, was named as the elected winner.  Steve Shuler, Shelby County Public Affairs Officer, was the non-elected winner.  Keynote speaker was former U. S. Congressman, Harold Ford, Jr.  RCME again sponsored 7 delegates to the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy at Whispering Woods in Olive Branch.  The Rotaract Club at the University of Memphis and Interact Club at Overton High School continue to be active clubs.  The Holiday Party was held at the home of Norris and Lauren McGehee.  Richard Large was named Rotarian of the Year.  Membership on June 30, 2015 was 135.
