Communications and Programs

Club Bulletin – The weekly Bulletin is the club’s most important vehicle for communication and promotion of club projects. Committee members share responsibility for assembling news items and editing the Bulletin by alternating assignments as “weekly editors”. The committee is assisted by Executive Director Lee Hughes who publishes emails and mails the Bulletin.

Programs and Speakers – The committee is responsible for arranging programs for weekly club meetings. Activities include scheduling 35 to 40 outside speakers per year, working with club committees to arrange special presentations or speakers, and organizing informal, small group meetings known as “Fireside Chats.”

Public Relations – The committee is responsible for communicating information about Club meetings and activities to the public and to other Rotarians in the Memphis area, primarily through news releases, media contacts, and a telephone information line.
