Total membership on June 30, 1995, was 115. Three new committees were formed: Membership Involvement, Fundraising and Polio Plus, and a Historian for the club were appointed. The Membership/Classifications committee combined two previous separate committees, and the functions of the Arrangements committee were integrated in to the Sgt.-at-Arms position. The Programs/Speakers Committee continued its strong tradition, and our involvement at our adopted school, Georgia Avenue, continued with most of our members contributing to one or more of our many school-related projects. The annual golf tournament was renamed the Georgia Avenue Charity Golf Classic. Our Craigmont Interact Club flourished with growth on members and service projects. The Outstanding Citizen of the Year award went to Brent Ross and Shannon Chesire for their establishment and work with Camp Celebration which serves the needs of the mentally retarded youths. A new Vocational award was given to Mike Ormiston for his work in establishing a training school for auto body technicians. The Teacher of the Year was Ruthie Brooks. Dorothy Walker, Bill Phillips, Steve Redden, Steve Anderson, and Dale Menard became Paul Harris Fellows. The Rotarian of the Year was King Rogers. We were visited by the Group Study Exchange from Brazil, and we also helped Dr. Roberto Riu from Argentina who spent six months studying with Campbell Clinic. The district 6800 sole Ambassadorial Scholar, Jennifer Kate Herring, was nominated by our club and will spend the next year in school in England. We also sponsored two member of our Interact Club who will participate in the summer International Youth Exchange. The Holiday Party was held at Brooks Museum, and the spring fellowship event was hosted by George Mitchell and his wife. The membership as of June 30, 1996, was 116.
